Employment Opportunities

The Detention Center provides a variety of employment opportunities for honest, motivated people who have a strong desire for public service. Entry level positions include:

• Detention Deputies, who are responsible for managing inmates and maintaining the physical security of the facility
• Civilian Detention Service Officers, who operate most of the security equipment and assist Detention Deputies in a variety of duties
• Program Specialist, who coordinate inmate activities
• Counselors, who evaluate inmates mental condition
• Sheriff’s Services Technicians, who staff the front desk and conduct clerical functions
• Alternative Sentencing Specialist, who coordinate and manage inmates assigned to the variety of ASU programs
• Jail Maintenance Worker, who provide a variety of specialized maintenance to the Detention Center
