Park Situation

2009 Annual Permits are still available for purchase.

 

Recent Updates: The South Bay Swim Beach boat ramp has one dock in place.  The two South Bay, Inlet Bay and the Satanka boat ramps are no longer in use. Please take note of November boat launching hours: 8 am - 9 am and 12 noon - 1 pm Saturday, and Sunday ONLY.  

 

The shower houses in South Bay and Inlet Bay are closed for the season.

 

 Inlet Bay campground and boat ramp are now closed for the season.

 

The swimbeach in South Bay is closed for the winter season.

Fishing Conditions

 

As a reminder, all walleye must be over 18 inches to keep, and you can keep only one walleye over 21 inches.  All smallmouth bass must be 12 inches or more.

Water Level & Boat Ramp

Beginning April 15, 2009, in order to comply with the State of Colorado Aquatic Nuisance Species Regulations, all vessels will need to be inspected prior to launch.

Beginning November 1, 2009, boat launching will only be available Saturday's, and Sunday's between the hours of 8 am - 9 am and 12 noon - 1 pm.  Boating will not be allowed Monday - Friday.

The South Bay Swim Beach boat ramp has one dock in place.  The Inlet Bay boat ramp is closed for the season.  The Satanka boat ramp and the two boat ramps in South Bay are now closed due to lowering water levels.

The reservoir's water levels are fluctuating.  The current surface water temperature is approximately 55 degrees Fahrenheit.

 

Water Elevation

Maximum water elevation = 5,430  ft. above sea level.
Current water elevation = 5377 ft. feet above sea level.

Camping

Campsites S1 - S31, the 4 tent sites, and 3 cabins in South Bay are available on our reservation system - (800)397-7795 or www.larimercamping.com.  The new 8 full hookup sites are available for use, but are not on our reservation system.

 Inlet Bay campground is closed for the season.  

 

Wildlife

This time of year we have many deer, foxes, and coyotes in the area.  Please use caution while driving.
