Third Annual Northern Colorado Veterans STAND-DOWN

The Colorado Department of Labor and Employment Veteran Employment Programs is hosting the third annual Northern Colorado Veterans STAND-DOWN, Tuesday, November 10, 9 AM-3 PM. at Catholic Charities-The Mission, 460 Linden Center Drive, Fort Collins. It will be a day for any veteran that may be in need may be homeless, potentially homeless, or who would just like to join other veterans for the day. 

 
The services provided for the day will include a hot meal, clothing items and basic living essentials, basic dental services, pneumonia and flu shots, assistance with VA eligibility claims, haircuts, job placement services, VA application and DD214 application assistance, and anyone in need of referral to supportive services. All services will be provided free of charge.
 
Various organizations will be on site including the VA Hospital, Colorado Department of Labor, Vet Center, Larimer County Veteran Services, Larimer County Human Services, Larimer County Workforce Center Veterans Unit, as well as various other veteran organizations.
 
Funding for the Stand-Down is being provided by the Colorado Board of Veterans Affairs from the Veterans Trust. The event is also being sponsored by American Legion Post 109, Windsor, Colorado.
 
Anyone who would like to make a donation of non-perishable food items, please drop them off at The Mission anytime before November 10. There will be a drop off box located there.
