New Event Registration System!

Larimer County Department of Natural Resources has a new online event registration system. People should now visit offero.larimer.org to view and sign up for guided hikes and programs.

Thursday, March 9, 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. "The Secret Lives of Owls" The Friends of Larimer County Parks and Open Lands will host a presentation on the secret lives of owls, with a special guest speaker from the Rocky Mountain Raptor Program and a live owl! This event is free and open to the public. No registration is required. Program will be held at Old Town Library in Fort Collins, located at 201 Peterson St. Please meet in Community Room #2. Saturday, March 11, 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. "Big Birds of River Bluffs Open Space" Join naturalist Carl at River Bluffs Open Space, located just west of the I-25/Windsor crossing off of C.R. 32E, for a look at the larger-than-life birds that use the Cache la Poudre River corridor. Approximately 2-hour program with bird watching. Program is free, but registration is required. Please go to offero.larimer.org to sign up. Hike rating: easy. Sunday, March 12, 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. "Moon Over My Open Space" Join naturalists for a moonlit walk at Devil's Backbone Open Space, located just west of Loveland off of Hwy. 34, to look out for nighttime critters and learn about owls. Approximately 2-hour hike. Hike rating: easy. Program is free, but registration is required. Please go to offero.larimer.org to sign up. Saturday, March 18, 8:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. "Stargazing with the Northern Colorado Astronomical Society" Join members of the Northern Colorado Astronomical Society for an up-close look at the night sky over the Rockies. Telescopes will be available for viewing stars, galaxies, planets and more. This 2-hour program is located at the Devil's Backbone Open Space parking lot, located just west of Loveland off of Hwy. 34. Program is free, but registration is required.
