It is time to register for the 3rd Annual Jailbreak 4-Mile Family Run/Walk to be held on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 9:00 a.m.  A 1-Mile fun walk for kids will start at 8:30 a.m. All participants are encouraged to wear their best "cops and robbers" costumes in keeping with the law enforcement / jailbreak theme.

Awards will be presented to the top three male/female finishers in each age group.  Age groups will be 9 – under, 10 – 19, 20 – 29, 30 – 39, 40 – 49, 50 – 59, 60 – 69, and 70 +.

There will be post-race demonstrations by the Sheriff's Office K9 Unit, Posse, Dive Team, and Bomb Squad.  You can meet the deputies, see their equipment in action, and learn about their jobs protecting the community.

This event will benefit the Larimer County Child Advocacy Center (CAC).  The CAC is a nonprofit organization that provides victims of child abuse and their non-offending family members access to support and services in a safe, compassionate environment.  The CAC also works to prevent child abuse through education, serves as an informational resource for those unsure of how to report child abuse, and acts as an educational resource to the community about child abuse.

The family-friendly four-mile course begins and ends at the Larimer County Sheriff's Office, 2501 Midpoint Drive in Fort Collins.  Registration is $25 in advance or $35 on race day and includes a race t-shirt.  Children in strollers and wagons are free.
