Guided Hikes and Events
· Monday, September 1 at 10:00 a.m.
“Tiny Trekkers” Join Larimer County naturalists for a program designed for your 2-5 year old and you. This program at Devil’s Backbone Open Space
, located just west of Loveland, off of Hwy 34, will be a morning filled with crafts, stories and fun facts! A parent or guardian must
accompany the child for this hour long program. After the program, feel free to explore the open space with your child! Program is free. Please go to larimer.org/NRregistration

· Wednesdays, September 3 and 17 “Nature Notes Club Meeting” Join the Nature Notes Club for their regular meetings. You’ll get the chance to journal, paint, photograph and more with this fun group of people. This program will be stationary with some easy walking. Approximately 3 hour program. Please dress appropriately for the weather, and bring along all of your journaling supplies. Nature Notes meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month, usually during the day. “Public Tour of Chimney Hollow Open Space” Larimer County Natural Resources and Northern Water invite you to attend a field trip to Chimney Hollow Open Space
in the Blue Mountain Conservation Area. Meet at the Larimer County Natural Resources Administrative Offices
near Carter Lake in Loveland. Approximately 3 hour program. Program is free, but space is limited. Be sure to not miss this unique opportunity to visit an open space that is not currently open to the public. Register required at: larimer.org/NRregistration
· Saturday, September 27, 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
“NoCo Nature Festival” The Birding Fair has a new name, new location and more pizzazz! Everyone is invited to a free day of fun including live animals, interactive activities, music, food, vendors, presentations, and giveaways! Bring the whole family to Nix Natural Area
