Larimer County is set to begin construction of a new roadway for CR 19 between CR 70 and CR 72. The work will occur in several phases beginning in April and lasting into the fall. Some road closures will occur as various sections of the roadway are built. Details about the closures will be provided once available.

Background:

Larimer County completed and adopted the Owl Canyon Corridor Project in 2008 which identified a road alignment and necessary improvements to road surfacing, function and safety
for an eventual paved 2-lane County roadway in the Owl Canyon Corridor. The project was
done to address existing maintenance, function, air quality and safety concerns in the corridor
and was completed with substantial public input and elected official support.

Since completion of the planning project, the Engineering Department has begun working on
the corridor in phases, including spot safety improvements and the design of a new roadway for
for CR 19 between CR 70 and CR 72.

If you have specific questions or would like to discuss the project, feel free to
contact Project Manager Joe Temple at Larimer County Engineering, 970-498-5717,
Jtemple@larimer.org.
