Burglary Suspect Arrested at Scene

The Larimer County Sheriff's Office, with the prompt assistance of the Loveland Police Department arrested Johnathan Wadsworth Griffin, 20, of Loveland last night at the scene of a burglary in progress.
Larimer County Sheriff's Office deputies were called to the 3900-block of South Lincoln Avenue last night at approximately 10:25 p.m. on the report of a burglar alarm. As LCSO deputies were en route to the call, Loveland Police Department officers responded to assist. LPD officers immediately surrounded the building, observed a broken window and a man inside the building running to the doors. As the man exited the building, LPD officers detained him.
Larimer County Sheriff's Office deputies and Loveland Police Department officers then searched the building and did not find anyone else inside.
Johnathan Griffin was arrested for 2nd Degree Burglary (F4), Theft (F4), Criminal Mischief (F4) and Possession of Burglary Tools (F5). Additional charges are pending the results of the on-going investigation.
Mr. Griffin is being held at the Larimer County Jail pending a bond hearing later today.
The charges are merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
