RE:      NAME Re-Certification

 

This is to inform you that the Larimer County Coroner/ Medical Examiner’s Office has just been awarded full 5-year re-certification through NAME (National Association of Medical Examiners) for the term of 7/16/2012-7/16/2017.

 

The certification process is extremely rigorous, including a 350 item checklist encompassing 8 different areas, and a 2 ½ day inspection. Areas of inspection include everything from staff qualifications, investigation protocols, morgue/ autopsy operations, report standards, and support services.

 

This office has maintained full certification with National Association of Medical Examiners for three consecutive 5- year terms.

 

We are the smallest office in the United States to hold this a prestigious certification.
