Sign Up Now for Free Energy and Water Assessments from Larimer County Conservation Corps
Through a partnership with Fort Collins Utilities, Loveland Water and Power and Platte River Power Authority, the Larimer County Conservation Corps is offering free energy and water assessments and efficiency upgrades to qualifying residents through March 29.
The basic assessments include a visual inspection of appliances, heating/cooling systems, and insulation levels in walls, attics and crawlspaces. Corps members also will install free CFLs, programmable thermostats, retractable clotheslines, low-flow toilets, showerheads and faucet aerators and provide conservation tips and rebate opportunities to help lower energy and water bills.
Since 2008, the Conservation Corps’ Energy and Water Program has trained young adults in the efficiency industry and increased accessibility to conservation measures and education for Fort Collins and Loveland residents. This year’s goal is to assess and complete efficiency upgrades for 250 households within Fort Collins.
For details and qualifications, complete the online application at larimerworkforce.org/youth-services/lccc/energy-corps/ or contact the Larimer County Conservation Corps Energy Coordinator, Isabel Gottlieb, (970) 498-6081, gottliig@larimer.org
