Fort Collins Pedestrian Fatality

On the evening of September 12, 2012 a pedestrian was struck by vehicles in the 6000 block of south College Avenue in Fort Collins, Colorado.

The decedent died on September 12, 2012 at approximately 1115 pm and was pronounced dead by Investigator Matthew Canaga, Larimer County Deputy Coroner on September 13, 2012 at 1:25 am. 

Identification of the decedent has not been made at this time.  Upon identification Larimer County Coroner Office will release the name through a press release.

An autopsy was performed today by James A. Wilkerson IV, MD, and determined the manner and cause of death.

How injury occurred:  Deceased parked her car in northbound lane and walked into southbound land.  Hit by 3 vehicles.

Manner of Death:  Accident

Cause of Death:  Multiple blunt force injuries

Interval between onset and death:  Seconds
