Officials at the Larimer County Fair & PRCA Rodeo, presented by Ranch-Way Feeds and Colorado Lottery, have announced that the 2012 Fair reached, and surpassed, the landmark attendance of 100,000 people.  The official attendance number for the five-day event, which was held earlier this month at The Ranch in Loveland, was 101,124.

 

Fair Board President, Gil Barela said of the record attendance, “The Fair is a direct reflection of the citizens of Larimer County.  The fact that the event saw over 100,000 people only speaks to the quality of what they were offered.  During the Fair patrons had the opportunity to choose from an assorted amount of Larimer County produced entertainment and attractions. Those included nearly 7,000 4-H & Open Class entries, over 100 vendors, multiple local breweries, nationally recognized rodeo participants and a wide list of events too long to name, all of which are all locally produced, grown, cultivated and displayed right here in Larimer County.” 

 

Many areas of the event contributed to the overall record attendance as they set records in their own right.  Those that saw high-water marks included; Gnarly Barley Brew Festival, PRCA Rodeos; including the first sold out night (Monday) in almost a decade at Budweiser Events Center, Carnival Americana, and Food & Beverage sales.

 

The previous high attendance mark was set last year when 95,506 patrons came through event gates at The Ranch. 

The 2012 Larimer County Fair ran from August 3 - 7 at The Ranch in Loveland. Events at this year’s Fair included Gnarly Barley Brew Festival, Splash Dogs, PRCA Rodeo, Fireworks, and many more. For Fair information, visit www.LarimerCountyFair.org.

 

The Ranch, Larimer County Fairgrounds and Events Complex, located in Loveland, CO, opened in 2003 and is owned and operated by Larimer County.  The Ranch consists of the Budweiser Events Center, a 7,200 seat multi-purpose arena managed by Global Spectrum, the Ranch-Way Feeds Indoor Arena and Livestock Pavilions, the First National Bank Exhibition Halls, and the Thomas M.
