James A. Wilkerson IV M.D., forensic pathologist / Larimer County Deputy Coroner, has determined the cause and manner of death on the presumptive identification of Linda Steadman who was killed in the High Park Fire on June 9th, 2012. The manner of death is accident and the cause of death is smoke inhalation and thermal injuries. Attempts at positive identification through Richard Dial, DDS forensic odontologist have been unsuccessful due to lack of antemortem records. Positive identification will now be attempted through DNA.
