Community at Work is a weekly radio program on KRFC, 88.9 FM, that provides insight into issues that affect our communities by providing a closer look at the public agencies serving you.
This ½ hour show, Thursday evenings at 5:30 pm, is hosted by Larimer County, City of Fort Collins, the Health District of Northern Larimer County, and the US Forest Service on a rotating basis. Larimer County's show is hosted by Community Information Manager Deni La Rue.
Each week, the host of Community at Work will interview guests about a topic that is relevant to our communities.

Community at Work received a 2007 Golden Microphone Award from KRFCfm for Outstanding Programming.
The National Association of County Information Officers, NACIO, awarded Community at Work a "Meritorious Award" in their Awards of Excellence 2005 competition.
Past and Future Larimer County Shows
- February 11 - On this edition of Community at Work, Deni La Rue talks with Larimer County Commissioners Steve Johnson and Tom Donnelly. Deni had them on as guests last January 29, 2009 as brand new Commissioners. Johnson is now Chair of the Board and Donnelly is Chair Pro-Tem. La Rue catches up with the two men after being in office a full year to see what has transpired, what issues have stood out, how their life-work balance is going, what issues are on the horizon, and, any thoughts they have looking back at this first year in office.
- January 7 - On this edition of Community at Work, Deni La Rue has a retrospective conversation with former Larimer County Commissioner Kathay Rennels, who after 11 years in office, recently resigned to become Colorado State University's Director of Economic Development. La Rue and Rennels will talk about the issues that have commanded Rennels' attention at Larimer County over the past 11 years. Listen to the MP3 recording
- December 3 - On this edition of Community at Work, Deni La Rue talks with Stacey Baumgarn, Mark Johnston, and Rusty McDaniel about Larimer County projects they are heading that are funded with American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) stimulus dollars. Find out what projects at Larimer County these funds are being spent on and what benefit will county citizens receive as a result of these projects? - November 5 - On this edition of Community at Work, Deni La Rue talks with Larimer County Manager Frank Lancaster and Budget Director Bob Keister about the Proposed 2010 Larimer County Budget. Public hearings get underway in a little more than a week so this is a great time for citizens to become familiar with what is being proposed.
