- Park Situation
There is no hunting allowed at any time.
- Fishing Conditions
Trout fishing has been good, but muskie fishing has been slow. For Division of Wildlife current conditions and stocking reports, go to: http://wildlife.state.co.us/Fishing/Reports/StatewideConditions/

- Water Level
The water level is extremely low; if the boat ramp is not in the water, only hand-launched craft will be allowed. Fishing access will remain open around the shore but it's muddy--bring your boots!
- Camping
Drinking water is turned off; the nearest frost-free faucet is located at Flatiron Reservoir. Windy Pines Campground is closed for the winter. All open campsites are now first-come, first-served.
- Wildlife
Deer and elk are frequent sights throughout the winter.
