I became involved with Friends of Larimer County Parks & Open Lands when the group was helping to raise needed funds for the purchase of Hermit Park. Purchasing this park was a once in a lifetime opportunity and I wanted to add my part in making that happen as I believe once land is turned over for private development it will never become public space. The best part of becoming a member is learning more about the unique character of each of the parks and open lands. I do not have a favorite park as each has something to offer. The ones I visit most are those where I can ride my horse. My horse is my hobby. I also like viewing wildlife and playing bridge on a cold snowy day.
I have many quotes, but two that I try to live by are: "Do the job right, or don't do it at all" or at least give it your best shot and "you can't change what you had for breakfast yesterday".
I live in Larimer County just east of Ft. Collins.
