It is up to us to:
- take care of lands entrusted to us
- preserve, protect, and enjoy our parklands, wildlife, trails, reservoirs, and open space
- assist Parks and Open Lands staff to provide a safe and enjoyable recreational environment
- get involved in our communities by supporting a worthy cause
Past Projects
- 2009 projects will involve Hermit Park cabin improvements
- 2005 through 2008, annual Fossil Creek Birding Fair
- 2008 Hermit Park: volunteer work on picnic tables and trails, and grant management providing naturalist guide books and gear
- Fundraising for the purchase of Hermit Park
- 2005, 2006, & 2007 Fossil Creek Birding Fair - managed a booth serving free coffee & cookies and informing the public about our group
- 2005 & 2006 Father's Day Weekend Boat Tour
- 2005, 2006, & 2007 Whole Foods CommUnity Day
- 2005 Festival of Giving at Foothills Mall - managed a booth to help with the festival registration
- Soderberg Trail Open Space - purchased 3 picnic tables for the trailhead
- Fossil Creek Open Space - purchased binoculars, scopes, two-way radios and birding guide books to be used by the public
