The Larimer County Engineering Department will hold an Open House on Wednesday, August 22, to explain a rehabilitation construction project, ‘the County Road 29 bridge over the Big Thompson River.’ The project is located 1.25 miles north of State Highway 34 approximately 3 miles west of Loveland. The work involves replacing the girders and deck on the bridge. County Road 29 will be closed approximately 600 feet back from the bridge on each side. Traffic will be detoured east to Road 27 and State Highway 34 during construction. Construction is scheduled from mid September through November of 2012.
The Open House takes place at the Larimer County Bison Visitors Center located at 1800 South County Road 31 (Carter Lake Road) from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 22, 2012. The meeting will provide an opportunity for all interested parties to view plans and other project information and ask questions. There will not be a formal presentation so feel free to stop by any time between 4 and 6.
If you are unable to attend the open house and would like to view the plans or discuss the project, please call Ron Winne, Project Manager at (970) 498-5713 or rwinne@larimer.org at Larimer County Engineering.
