Register Now for Waste Ranger Summer Camp for Youth

Registration is underway for the Garbage Garage Education Center’s summer Waste Ranger Camps at the Larimer County Landfill. These one-day summer camps for youth ages 8-12 will be held on Wednesday, June 13; Wednesday, July 11; and Wednesday, August 1 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Registration is limited to 12 campers per session.

Participants in the Waste Ranger Summer Camp will have the opportunity to go “behind the scenes” of an operating landfill. Activities will be informative and hands-on and will include exploration of what happens to household hazardous waste, how to prevent water and air contamination, what happens to recyclables, and why we have safety rules and regulations. Campers will create “found” art, an edible landfill and more!
