On May 1, 2012 at 0605, emergency personnel were called by a passerby regarding a single vehicle motor vehicle accident on Highway 14, Mile Marker 118, Poudre Canyon, Fort Collins, Colorado.
Coroner Investigator Matt Canaga was requested to responded due to the death of a male individual.
The decedent has been identified as Robert A. Weddle, DOB 5/16/1976, Age 35 of Radford, Virginia. The decedent was the unrestrained occupant of a vehicle that left the road while traveling westbound on Highway 14.
An autopsy was performed on May 1, 2012 by Patrick C. Allen, MD, Larimer County Coroner.
Manner of Death is Accident
Cause of Death is Multiple trauma: lacerated left subclavian artery and left carotid artery at aortic arch; fractured cervical vertebra C5; fractured ribs; lacerated spleen. The decedent died within seconds following the accident.
