Larimer County Sheriff's Office personnel Lieutenant Stacy Shaffer, Sergeant John Feyen and Lieutenant Robert Cook are currently enrolled in the prestigious Northwestern University's School of Police Staff and Command Class #325. This program at Northwestern University is a 10-week intensive class dedicated to law enforcement personnel in an effort to prepare current and future leaders for command positions. One of the traditions of the school is that each class selects a charity to work for in raising money as a legacy gift from the class. This year, the Legacy Project of Class #325 is asking for support in reaching their goal to raise $10,000 for the Cops Fighting Cancer Organization.
On Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 6:00 p.m., Class #325 will be hosting a spaghetti dinner and silent auction at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds (15200 W. 6th Avenue in Golden, Colorado) to benefit the great work of Cops Fighting Cancer. People can purchase a $10 ticket and enjoy a full spaghetti meal with choice of meat sauce or marinara, salad, and a drink. Class #325 is also seeking items for the silent auction, so if you have an item or service you would consider donating, please contact Lieutenant Robert Cook by April 4th, 2012.
Tickets can be purchased or donations made at the following locations:
- Lieutenant Stacy Shaffer at the Larimer County Jail- 2405 Midpoint Drive, Fort Collins 970-498-5213

Cops Fighting Cancer is a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization founded in 2003 by Aurora Police Officer and cancer survivor Jim Senneca. Cops Fighting Cancer is dedicated to providing assistance to cancer victims all over Colorado. Each year the Cops Fighting Cancer Organization arranges the "Long Blue Line," which is a procession of law enforcement officers and their vehicles from around the state that culminates at Children's Hospital in Aurora. Officers then distribute gifts to children undergoing cancer treatments and other medical conditions. This offers the kids positive contact with law enforcement and gives the officers a memorable and unforgettable experience with brave children fighting to become well again.
