Do you have some free time you'd like to use in assisting your community? Larimer County has a number of opportunities, including:
» Boards and Commissions
County advisory boards and commissions offer the opportunity for citizen participation in local government. Service on the boards is voluntary and appointments are made by the County Commissioners.
» Community Corrections Volunteer Mentor
The goal of this position is to develop a supportive relationship with Larimer County Community Corrections clients, and to promote positive personal growth including; enhanced family and peer relationships, increased self esteem, prevention of drug and alcohol usage, improved education and employment issues.
» District Attorney Volunteer/Intern
The Larimer County District Attorney's Office welcomes citizens and college or graduate students to apply for available internships and volunteer opportunities with us. We seek applicants who are teachable, motivated, and want to make a difference in our community through their service.
» Foster/Kinship Care
Foster Care is a protective service for children and families. The children are provided a substitute family life experience in an agency certified home for a planned, temporary period of time. Parents of these children should receive support in working toward family reunification or an alternate permanent plan for their children.
» Garbage Garage Education Center Assistant
Assist tour visitors of all ages to learn more about solid waste and reducing, reusing, and recycling. Cover open hours, as needed, as well as assisting with themed classes, special events, and outreach.
» Human Services Volunteer Program
Volunteer with staff and/or families who are part of the Children, Youth & Family Services Division, by becoming a Hero Helper, Oasis Mentor, Oasis Tutor, College Intern or Program Sponsor/Donor
» Natural Resources Volunteer Program
Get outdoors and help Larimer County care for your parks and open spaces! Volunteers are needed to assist rangers in the field, educate people about natural resources, monitor plants and wildlife, help with maintenance and restoration projects, take photos, serve on advisory boards, help run campgrounds and more.
» Sheriff's Office Reserves & Volunteers
Interested in applying for a volunteer position, such as Patrol Reserve Deputy, Posse member, Auxiliary Unit, Victim Response Team Advocate, Investigations Intern, Jail Intern?
» Solid Waste/Recycling Ambassador
Assist visitors at the Recycling Center Drop-Off area at the Larimer County Landfill by providing information and education about current recycling guidelines and to help reduce contamination by non-recyclables.
