WORK SCHEDULE:
|
20 – 40 hours per
week. Shift work – nights, weekends, and holidays may be required, depending
on duties.

LOCATIONS:
|
Horsetooth Reservoir
and Horsetooth Mountain Park
|
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
·
Collect and process park entrance
permits and related fees and charges.
·
Greet the public using Larimer County park
areas and facilities; provide information about and give directions to park
areas and facilities.
·
Direct the public to various park
areas and facilities including, but not limited to, parking, campgrounds,
trails, picnic areas, and boat ramps.
·
Advise park visitors of
recreational opportunities and public use regulations.
·
Provide direct support services to
the public as an information source on department policies and procedures.
·
Perform minor general cleaning of
entrance stations or other park areas as assigned.
·
Perform daily computation of total
gate receipts using basic math skills and a calculator.
·
Secure and lock various park
facilities at end of work each day.
·
Assist administrative staff for
special projects involving the gathering and tabulating of park related data.
·
Work Saturdays, Sundays, and
holidays as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of:
·
Park permit recordkeeping systems.
·
Safe work practices.
·
Cashiering systems.
Ability to:
·
Understand the organization and
operation of the Larimer County Department of Natural Resources and other park
agencies.
·
Interpret and apply department
rules and policies.
·
Establish and maintain effective
working relationships with other County employees, representatives of other
agencies and organizations, and members of the community.
·
Communicate clearly and concisely,
both orally and in writing.
·
Follow written and verbal
instructions.
·
Stand and walk for long periods of
time.
·
Greet a very wide variety of park
visitors in a friendly, welcoming, and helpful manner and communicate
effectively with a wide diversity of individuals and groups.
·
Perform basic mathematical
computations of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
·
Compile and maintain a variety of
records and files.
EXPERIENCE AND
EDUCATION: Any combination
of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and
abilities is qualifying.
Experience:
·
Six months cashiering experience
is preferred. One year of customer service experience is also helpful.
Education:
·
High School Diploma or GED
desired.
