Family Resource Program (FRP)
Working together to improve the quality of life for families in our community.The Family Resource Program is a voluntary program designed to assist families in Larimer County with short-term (4-12 weeks) support services. Agency and community resources are coordinated to reduce risks to children while improving family self sufficiency.
Family Resource Coordinators value individual and family strengths. We recognize the difficult challenges families face. We work with families to build strengths to overcome these challenges.Family Resource Program support services can help by:
- Identifying family strengths and assessing the need for services.
- Assisting families in identifying and connecting with resources in the community.
- Promoting community partnerships in order to reduce risks to children.
Your family may be eligible if:
- Your family is caring for a child or children under the age of 12.
- You reside in Larimer County.
- Your family is facing an emergency or crisis.
- You are concerned for the well-being of your children.
- Your family is willing to participate in services.
Services Provided
- Assessment of needed services to strengthen families
- Information and referral
- Family support and advocacy services
- Home-based parent education services
- Crisis counseling
- Service coordination for parents and children
- Pre-screening for financial assistance programs e.g. Food Stamps, TANF and child care assistance
- Other services as determined by the family and resource coordinator
How to access services
Parents can refer themselves or families can be referred by agencies in the community.
