Outbreak Control
To provide rapid and effective response to identified communicable
disease outbreaks using a multi-disciplinary team of public health
professionals.
Tuberculosis Program
To prevent the spread of TB in the community through identification
and treatment of active cases and preventive treatment of those
with latent infection.
Immunizations
To protect Larimer County residents from vaccine-preventable diseases, and prevent their spread from person-to-person.
Animal and Insect-borne Disease Monitoring
To control the spread of illnesses transmitted by animals and insects
through disease surveillance, outbreak investigation, community
education, maintaining rabies vaccination records, and other control
measures.
Sexually Transmitted Diseases Program
To prevent the spread of sexually transmitted diseases through screening,
diagnosis, treatment (when possible), education about preventing
infections.
