DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1997 (RSC) THE STATION IS LOCATED ABOUT 18.5 MI (29.8 KM) WEST OF THE FORKS, 6.5 MI (10.5 KM) NORTH OF RUSTIC AND 1 MI (1.6 KM) SOUTHEAST OF RED FEATHER LAKES, IN THE NORTHWEST 1/4 OF SECTION 34, T 10 N, R 73 W, AT LARIMER COUNTY ROAD 74E MILEPOST 22.97. OWNERSHIP--COUNTY ROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY TO REACH THE STATION FROM THE INTERSECTION OF LARIMER COUNTY ROAD 74E AND DOWDY ROAD (DOWDY LAKE TURN OFF) JUST EAST OF RED FEATHER LAKES, GO EAST ON COUNTY ROAD 74E FOR 0.05 MI (0.08 KM) TO THE STATION ON THE LEFT, ABOVE THE ROADCUT THE MARK IS A STANDARD DISK SET IN SQUARE 30 CM CONCRETE POST PROJECTING 3 CM ABOVE THE GROUND. IT IS 23.1 M (75.8 FT) NORTH FROM THE CENTER LINE OF COUNTY ROAD 74E, 13.8 M (45.3 FT) SOUTHWEST FROM A RAIL FENCE, 7.7 M (25.3 FT) NORTH FROM THE TOP OF A ROADCUT, 0.9 M (3.0 FT) SOUTHEAST FROM A WITNESS POST AND ABOUT 7 M (23.0 FT) ABOVE THE ROAD.
