Voting Methods and Locations
Mail-in Ballot
If you prefer, you may vote by mail via mail-in ballot. Mail-in ballots must be applied for each calendar year and you must indicate for which elections you want a ballot mailed to you. You will also need to indicate the address to which you want the ballot mailed for each election. Further instructions regarding mail-in ballot applications.
Early Voting
You will also have the option of casting your vote prior to Election Day at one of the Early Voting sites in Fort Collins, Loveland or Estes Park. Early Voting will be open Saturday August 2 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and also Monday August 4 through Friday August 8 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for the Primary Election. Early Voting will be open weekdays October 20 through October 31 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and also Saturday October 25 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for the General Election. The sites will function as extensions of the County Clerk's Office on the Monday before each election from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and again on the day of the election from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. for emergency registrations, address changes and replacement and drop off of Mail-in Ballots. By law, Early Voting ends the Friday before each election: there is no Early Voting the Monday before Election Day. Early Voting sites also serve as Vote Centers on Election Day.
Vote Centers
When Vote Centers are used, instead of the traditional 140 precinct polling places, there will be approximately 20 to 30 Vote Centers located around Larimer County. Voters will be able to go to any Vote Center in the county to cast their ballots. A typical Vote Center has 12 - 20 Election Judges (poll workers) staffing each site on Election Day.
