In 2008, Specific Learning Disability comprised the largest number of the Special Education student population. There were 1,423 students with Specific Learning Disability across Larimer County school districts, or 31% of the Special Education student population. Speech/Language Disability, the second highest disability, comprised 26% of this student population among Larimer County school districts.Specific Learning Disability was the most predominant disability in the Special Education student population in Park School District (61.0%) and Poudre School District (32.5%), and second at Thompson School District (26.9%). Speech/Language Disability was the most frequent disability in Thompson School District (34.2%) and ranked second in Poudre School District (19.8%) and Park School District (10.0%).
