What these data tell us:

From 2003 through 2007, the number of homes sold in Fort Collins/Wellington and Loveland/Berthoud remained relatively constant, with Fort Collins area sales ranging from 1,600 to 2,100 more homes than the Loveland area. During that same time, the percentage change of units sold for the two areas was similar. In terms of the percentage change in total dollar value of sales (i.e., sales volume) from 2006 to 2007, the Loveland/Berthoud area sales volume increased by 3.0%, while the Fort Collins/Wellington area sales volume decreased by 0.5%. Compared to other areas in Colorado's Northern Front Range, the Larimer County areas of Estes Park, Fort Collins, and Loveland were mid-range in terms of the median sale price for a residential unit. Larimer County communities' 2007 median sale price increased at least 25% from their 2000 median price. From 2000 to 2007 the largest percentage change in residential median sale price, 47.8%, occurred in the Boulder area, with Loveland/ Berthoud experiencing a 39.2% increase.
