Reports - Larimer County Health & Human Services
These brief reports supply a more interpretive view of the information provided on Compass and often combine related issues from the data section of the site. The views presented within these reports are subjective and are intended, in many cases, to act as a 'Call to Action' on emergent, crisis, or notable issues in Larimer County. They reflect the views and research efforts of the Health and Human Services Division Compass Team. Comments and community discussion regarding these issues are encouraged via e-mail to Compass. We also welcome your ideas for additional topics for these reports.
- Please note this update to the following report: In July 2005 the Colorado
Department of Health Care and Financing reinstated Presumptive Eligibility for
pregnant women at some sites. Additionally, many local Health Departments who
weren't previously recertified, including Larimer County, were recertified in
May 2006 to provide presumptive eligibility services to their communities.

In 2001, Compass staff created the Index of Community Well-being, a first attempt to define Larimer County's status in terms of 'scores'. The project was revisited in 2003, and it was decided not to update these reports, but rather to steer staff resources towards methods of analysis that are more predictive of future trends. Compass is continuing to explore alternative ways to make data more useful, including employing software to forecast trends.
