What these data tell us:

Children living in single parent families in Larimer County had a slightly larger percentage living with their father (28%) than both Colorado (25%) and the United States (22%). These data vary by cities and towns. Estes Park had the largest percentage of children living with their father (46%), and Berthoud had the smallest percentage (19%).

What these data tell us:

In Larimer County, more than twice as many children in single parent homes lived with their father in 2000 (3,114) than did in 1990 (1,353). Larimer County had a slightly higher percentage of children living with their father than Colorado or the United States in 2000. Estes Park and Wellington had the largest increases in the percentage of children living with their fathers. These communities also experienced the largest percentage increase in total population growth between 1990 and 2000 (see Population Size and Growth).
