What the above data tell us:
In 2010, the gender gap (in terms of age) was almost non-existent for most of the age categories in Larimer County. For residents under the age of 55, there were slightly fewer women than men. For those over the age of 64, however, there were significantly more women (55.7%) than men (44.3%). Statistically, women tend to outlive men. Females tend to live longer than males. Larimer County's female population was no exception, as evidenced by the 2010 Census. The combined age group, '65 years and over', illustrates there were 4,055 more females than males, or 79.5 males per 100 females in 2010.Additional Information:
