Performing Arts Companies, and Independent Artists, Writers & Performers are part of the United States Census' Performing Arts, Spectator Sports and Related Industries subsector. In 2006, 'Theater Companies and Dinner Theaters' represented the largest portion of the 12 'Performing Arts Companies' in Larimer County. What these data tell us:
The rates of 'Independent Artists, Writers & Performers' in the United States and Colorado increased from 2002 to 2006, 18.2% and 18.5% respectively. The largest year-to-year gain for Larimer County was between 2002 and 2003 (29.5% increase). There was an increase of eight 'Independent Artists, Writers & Performers' or 44.3% between 2002 and 2005 in Larimer County. This increase may be contributed to the large push to keep the art community thriving in the local communities of Larimer County.
