Permit Requirements
- The structural application must be completed. The permit requires 2 (two) sets of building plans drawn to scale and 4 (four) plot plans. Plot plans are to include all existing structures, the proposed location of the detached garage, and setbacks from all property lines to the proposed detached garage. - Building plans are to include a roof framing plan, section plan, and elevation details. Foundation plans must be provided as well. Depending on location engineered foundation plans may be required. If engineered foundation plans are required, two original wet stamped plans must be submitted with all detailed drawings.
- ***All monolithic foundations greater than 24'-0' in width shall be designed by a Colorado Registered Engineer.
- All plans must be drawn to scale such as 1/4 inch = 1 foot.
- Specify size, spacing, and species of studs, rafters, beams, ridge board or ridge beam, collar ties, and top and bottom plates.
