Board of Health

Description	The Board of Health is the governing and public health policy board for the Larimer County Department of Health and Environment. Their duties include administering and enforcing the state public health laws and regulations, developing local health regulations in certain areas where they have been given statutory authority, accepting money though grants, contracts, tax revenues, and fees and determining how these funds shall be spent, setting appropriate fees for services, appointing the public health officer, hearing appeals of department decisions, and issuing public health orders.
