MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

MONDAY, JUNE 10, 2002

All regularly scheduled meetings for the Board of County Commissioners were cancelled this week due to their attendance at the Colorado Counties Incorporated (CCI) Conference.

THURSDAY, JUNE 13, 2002

SPECIAL MEETING OF THE

BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

The Board of County Commissioners met in a Special Meeting; Chair Gibson presided and Commissioners Bender and Rennels were present. The Board participated via tele-conference. Also present were Captain Bill Nelson, Sheriff's Department; Donna Hart, Commissioner's Administrative Manager; and Jean O'Connor, Clerk to the Board.

The Board considered a resolution regarding an expanded fire ban within Larimer County to be effective immediately through August 1, 2002. Captain Nelson noted that neither Larimer County nor any of the Fire Districts within Larimer County are issuing burning or firework permits, with the exception of public fireworks displays.

M O T I O N

Commissioner Rennels moved that the Board of County Commissioners approve a resolution banning all open fires and the sale/use of fireworks in Larimer County.

Motion carried 3 - 0.
