QWho should file online?
AMainly small to medium size companies which don't have a lot of asset changes from year to year. You must have an existing account with the Larimer County Assessor's Office and have previously provided us with the assets you are declaring.
QWhy should I file online?
AThere are several reasons why you would want to use this tool:
QWhat if my list of assets has not changed from the previous year's declaration schedule?
AGo to the Personal Property Online Account Detail. Enter your Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN) and Schedule Number, view your assets, and click the box that indicates "No Changes" from last year's declaration schedule. Select the Submit for Review button.
QWhat if I can't log in?
AIf your FEIN is not recognized it will not allow you into the system. It may not be on file in our office or may be registered incorrectly. You may fax your FEIN number on Company Letterhead to the Personal Property Department at (970) 498-7070.
QCan I file on-line if I am a lease company?
ANo, the Personal Property Online tool is currently not able to process lease information. You may use this tool to obtain an asset list by schedule number if we have your FEIN on file.
QCan I file online if I am a new business?
AYes if we have an account created for you and have your FEIN on file. If you have not contacted us with this information you will not be able to use this tool.
QI report my assets in summary or bulk format. Can I change the quantity or value on a Detail ID line?
ANo, the Personal Property Online tool does not support that operation. However, you may attach any additional documentation or an excel sheet to your online filing to indicate these changes.
QI don't meet the requirements for filing online. Do I have any other options?
AYou may download a blank Personal Property Declaration Schedule from our website that can be faxed or mailed to our office. Call 970-498-7057 or email us at hintzdl@larimer.org with any questions.
