There is no hunting, swimming, wading, or boating allowed at any time.
The fishing has been great this past week. The cold "snap" and warm weather following has really awakened the fish. Fisher's contacted over the weekend report catching rainbows and cutbows on spinners, salmon eggs, nightcrawlers and power bait. DOW stocked the Reservoir on September 09 with 2800 10-12" trout. Daily limit is four fish. For more current conditions and stocking reports please check with the Division of Wildlife at: http://wildlife.state.co.us/Fishing/Reports/StatewideConditions/

The only dump station for RV's is located at LCR 8E next to Gate 1 and it is now closed for the season. The reservation system will no longer be in effect for regular electric campsites, however Cabins may still be reserved. It will start up again in the spring. All sites will be on a first come, first serve basis now. For more information you can check on line at www.larimercamping.com or call 1-800-397-7795. Camper cabins have heat and electric lights so can be used all year. They are popular during the winter so check on their availability before making plans. The Camp Host is now gone for the season and the winter rates are in effect.
There are still quite a few young deer around, and there have been a number of bear sightings in the area around the Park. The elk haven't started their migration south yet, but it won't be long before the heards start coming thru. A very exciting sight in the fall and winter months. Please remember to keep your campground cleaned up and all food items stored in secure containers. Do Not feed any wild animals, including the geese, as it is bad for them and causes problems for our visitors. It is also against the law. Stay safe and enjoy the views.
